ContestEntry: Princess Luna Gala Outfit

For 's Gala Outfit Contest. I hope I made it in time before the deadline, which is September 1st, btw...

Her design in a nutshell: I wanted to do something which did not include her usual royal attire: even royal ponies need to change their accessories once in a while. All the colours in her outfit is inspired by Luna's associated colours of sundown, night and her natural coloration. (Speaking of natural colouration, her body colour is lightened compared to her colouration seen in Luna Eclipsed. Back then, the episode took place at night, and so I lightened her body colour.) They are NOT Celestia's, despite the fact that they give that impression. I wanted to do something which would remind of moon and complement Luna's overall design. Therefore, the focus on blues, purples, and whitish & airy transparent skirt. I didn't like the idea of covering her awesome tail (it's an accessory of its own), hence the transparency. Her main outfit is the colour of a yellow moon if anyone's confused. Also, I didn't want to do a pure dress, but something hip & modern-fashion like.

More here in da morning. *Drops dead*. Less than 10 hours spread over two nights... Seriously, I need ta sleep...
